Business Unit Manager (Calibration Services)馃搷 Chesterfield, UK | Technical Services IndustryWe are working with a leading provider in the testing, inspection, certification, and compliance (TICC) sector, part of a fast-growing international group, to appoint a Business Unit Manager for their Calibration Services division.This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for operational performance, commercial growth, and regulatory compliance at a UKAS-accredited laboratory. The division has a turnover of around 拢1m and is central to the wider group鈥檚 technical services offering.The RoleAs Business Unit Manager, you will:Hold full P&L responsibility for the calibration business unitLead day-to-day operations at the Chesterfield siteOversee health & safety compliance for staff and contractorsEnsure continued UKAS accreditation and adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standardsBuild, manage, and develop a high-performing technical teamDrive business development and commercial growth alongside technical deliveryWhat We鈥檙e Looking ForEssential:Proven leadership experience within a UKAS-accredited calibration labStrong technical knowledge across calibration parameters (e.g. pressure, torque, temperature, mass)Solid understanding of lab-based health & safety standardsExcellent people leadership and communication skillsDesirable:Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, metrology, or a related disciplineExperience in business development or client relationship managementP&L and budget management backgroundWhy Apply?This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established technical division with strong foundations and significant growth potential.
