A local authority are seeking an experienced Building/Maintenance Surveyor to join them on a fixed term contract in the Guildford area.
Main Duties
- Evaluate and report on surplus housing properties for disposal.
- Conduct surveys and reports for property acquisition.
- Negotiate leases and manage housing property portfolio.
- Perform and update asset valuations every 5 years.
- Manage acquisition and disposal of housing assets.
- Maintain housing asset data records.
Knowledge and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of building and land valuation.
- Extensive building construction knowledge.
- Experience in surveying, land agency, and legal processes for property transactions.
- Proficiency in computerised asset management systems (desirable).
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS software packages.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Special Requirements
- Full driving license and access to own vehicle.
- RICS full membership (desirable).
