Partnership Co-ordinator - Voluntary & CommunityThe following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.£43,545 - £51,2282 Year Fixed Term or SecondmentFull timeWandsworth - The role requires on-site and community-based working for approximately three days per week, primarily within the Wandsworth area, focused primarily in the Roehampton and the Winstanley & York Road estates.Objective of role Your prime responsibilities as a key member of the Community and Partnerships team, is to strengthen and connect communication, engagement and collaboration between the Council, residents and voluntary and community sector organisations.The role will act as a bridge connecting communities and groups, the Council and other key partners to strengthen partnership working. The main focus areas will be Roehampton and Winstanley and York Road in Wandsworth.The Partnership Co-ordinator will champion the knowledge, insight and experience of those local communities and groups, and explore how these can be utilised. This is a two year fixed term contract or internal secondment.About the roleA crucial part of this role is about building meaningful relationships and trust with local communities and organisations – and particularly building on strengths and skills.This role therefore needs strong interpersonal skills, requires someone who is empathetic, but able to collaborate and bring together different voices.You will:Work closely with local VCS networks, alliances and other groups delivering in Wandsworth, including Roehampton and the Winstanley estate area, with community engagement and development capacity, to ensure that work programmes complement and strengthen each other. Work closely with Neighbourhood Regeneration and other relevant teams to coordinate community activities and engagement, as well as strengthen and align partnership working with a broad range of voluntary and community sector organisations. Create and maintain a documented overview of the various strategic community development interventions and partnerships..Work with the community and partners to develop a good understanding of potential service gaps (including voluntary and community sector led activities) and opportunities for the local areas, and connecting communities together with partners, to problem solve these and strengthen local capacity. Build relationships with small, medium and large Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and other statutory / non-statutory partners across Wandsworth, strengthening the Council’s knowledge and connections with a diverse range of local organisations.Engage, connect and facilitate effective dialogue and communication between the different Council departments and the local community, breaking down barriers and championing collaboration and partnership working. Essential Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of a range of community activities, assets and issues that can affect residents and voluntary and community sector organisations.Knowledge of how to effectively communicate and engage with a broad range of communities, organisations and partners.Experience working in partnerships, community development or engagement type roles.Experience of working with and advocating for underrepresented groups.Experience of building and sustaining relationships with a wide range of communities, organisations and partners.An effective communicator and collaborator with an ability to work with a wide range of teams, communities, organisations and stakeholders.Closing Date:16th November 2025Shortlisting Date: W/C 17th November 2025Interview Date:1st December 2025We may close this vacancy early once a sufficient number of applications have been received.
