Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care (Social and Healthcare Qualified)
Location: Parkwood Centre, Swadlincote, South Derbyshire (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Temporary (37 hours per week, initially 3 months with potential extension to 6 months)
We are seeking a person-centered, professionally qualified, and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis. This role is based in Swadlincote, covering the South of Derbyshire, and requires a commitment of 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centered, holistic, and strengths-based care to adults, their carers, and families within the community.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including safeguarding, complex health needs, learning disabilities, and more.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide proportionate, personalized, safe, and sustainable responses.
- Utilize knowledge and experience of equipment, adaptation solutions, and Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) provisions.
- Engage with inter-agency and multidisciplinary approaches across the council and other statutory bodies.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be HCPC registered with experience in a Local Authority setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of person-centered, holistic, and strengths-based practices.
- Have experience assessing daily living activities and understanding the impact of physical, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions on occupational performance.
- Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills with professionals and partner agencies.
- Have excellent time management skills, personal resilience, and a positive approach to risk-taking.
- Be a reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development.
