About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and capable Senior Registrar in Emergency Medicine to join a high-performing Emergency Department in a central London teaching hospital.Youll be working in a fast-paced supportive environment that sees a diverse range of acute presentations from high-acuity trauma to complex medical and surgical emergencies.As part of a well-structured middle-grade rota you will play a key role in maintaining safe efficient flow through majors minors and resus areas while supporting junior doctors and ensuring timely senior review.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the assessment and management of acutely unwell patients presenting to the Emergency Department.Work flexibly across majors minors resus and rapid assessment zones.Support and supervise junior clinicians (FY/CT levels) and Advanced Care Practitioners.Participate in clinical decision-making patient flow coordination and referrals to specialty teams.Contribute to departmental teaching audit and quality improvement projects.Ensure safe handover and effective communication across shifts.Uphold Trust values around patient safety dignity and clinical excellence.Essential:Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise.Minimum 612 months NHS experience in Emergency Medicine at Registrar/Middle Grade level.Competent in managing resuscitation cases acute medical and trauma patients.ALS / ATLS / APLS certification (current or recently expired).Strong communication and leadership skills under pressure.Desirable:MRCP / MRCEM (or equivalent)Why Join This RoleWork in a busy central London A&E serving a diverse and dynamic patient population.Flexible rota to suit your schedule ad-hoc weekend or block bookings.Competitive hourly rates with fast registration and onboarding.Excellent consultant support and structured departmental handovers.Opportunity to broaden experience across majors resus ambulatory care and minors.Benefits: Competitive hourly rates Daily and weekly payroll services Revalidation and appraisal services Career progression and market-insight with your own expert consultant Access to CPD events & training courses Access to exclusive locum opportunities with more preferred supplier contracts Rewarding recommendation and loyalty schemesHow to applyIf you feel your expertise is suited to this role please apply today and our specialist team will be in touch to discuss it with you in more detail.
