We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to provide exceptional care to a young individual with aSpinal Muscular Atrophy type 2.Start Date: ASAP Location: Dartford Duration:Permanent Hours: 1-hour shift (start time between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm) Mondays,Wednesdays, and Fridays + 7-hour shift (11:00 am to 6:00 pm) alternate Saturdays Rates: 1-hour shifts £24.00ph and Saturdays shifts £14.00phAbout our client: I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me with my personal, socialand domestic needs. I am a young female and I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, which has profoundly weakened my voluntary muscles, resulting in me being unable to weight-bear. As a result, I am a full-time powered wheelchair user, my respiratory system is compromised and the majority of my nutrition is met via a gastrostomy. I graduated from university in 2022 with a masters in chemistry 1stclass honours. I am now working as a medical writer. I live at home with my Mum, Dad, and dog. I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my free time visiting National Trust parks and zoos, as I am also very interested in animal/wildlife conservation and climate change. I am a massive Disney, Disney Parks and musical theatre fan I also enjoy music, my favourite artists being The Script, McFly and Taylor Swift. I enjoy baking, crochet and crafting using my smart cutting machine. I also enjoy shopping and going to the cinema. I need PAs to physically support me during my time outside of work and be able to drive my Motability wheelchair accessible vehicle. Applicants must be kind, patient, discreet and caring. A clean driving licence is essential as I would require you to drive my automaticMotability vehicle WAV. Past care experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
