We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Design Engineer specialising in projects up to 132kV, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure projects up to 132kV on primary substations ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Perform detailed calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimise designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation required for project bidding, procurement, and construction
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from inception to completion
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and team members


Your Requirements:

  • Proven experience a senior design engineer producing designs for primary substations ranging from 33kV – 132kV networks
  • Chartered Status (not essential)
  • Understanding of ICP, IDNO, or DNO networks
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to high-voltage electrical systems
  • A sound understanding of distribution networks
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, with modules in Power Distribution
