We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading electrical services design on large projects and overseeing overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical services design on large projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and meeting client expectations.
  • Oversee overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects, managing project teams and ensuring timely completion.
  • Represent Hoare Lea at project meetings, effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize the workload of project teams, including specialist groups.
  • Host and chair internal project team meetings, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Contribute to the professional development of individual team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Actively lead self and identify opportunities for career development, providing support for others.
  • Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered, maintaining high standards of work.
Requirements
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering, with a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design.
  • Previous consultancy experience, with an appreciation for complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modeling.
  • Autonomous approach, able to lead small to medium-sized projects and take briefs from project leads on large projects.
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs, identifying when outsourcing is required.
