If you strive to #BeTheDifference and want to be at the heart of our change and improvement journey then this could be the perfect job for you.Assistant AccountantAbout the role:You will provide wide-ranging financial support across all aspects of the team and the wider finance function and support the Children Family & Education Directorate at Wirral Council offering the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders including budget holders Head Teachers and School Support Staff.The schools Statutory Finance Team is responsible for managing both the government funded schools budget (Dedicated Schools Grant) and the council-funded budget for the Education function.Working alongside a Finance Business Partner (FBP) the Assistant Accountant will provide timely financial information to budget holders enabling informed decision-making and supporting the achievement of their objectives.
