Due to phenomenal growth and high demand, we have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced "Exhibitions Logistics Manager" to join our successful events team. Please note - This is not an Events Manager role We are recruiting for a logistics professional who has worked specifically in back end operations within exhibitions logistics. The ideal candidate must have prior experience with UK, European, or global freight and transport logistics for shows, exhibitions, and trade shows, ensuring exhibitors receive their deliveries on time and directly to their stands.


Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Oversee the entire logistics process, from appointment by the organiser to delivery and return of materials from stands.
  • Client Engagement: Follow up on sales leads, issue quotes, process bookings, and manage client files.
  • Event Tariffs & Shipping Instructions: Prepare detailed instructions and tariffs for clients and exhibitors.
  • Global Coordination: Work with logistics and exhibition partners worldwide, securing rate schedules, shipping dates, and carrier information.
  • Customs & Compliance: Prepare customs documentation, liaise with brokers/agents, and ensure timely customs clearance.
  • Internal Communication: Serve as the key liaison between the Events and Operations teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and information flow.
  • On-Site Support: Attend exhibitions for setup and breakdown as required, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Sales Support: Work with commercial and sales teams to target future clients and grow the business.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring all bookings and orders are processed efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiencies and improvements in logistics processes to maximize profitability.


Key Skills & Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar logistics role within exhibitions/events.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export customs regulations and formalities.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
  • Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Clean driving license.


Essential Knowledge:


  • Experience in exhibitions/events logistics.
  • Hands-on experience liaising with exhibitors and clients.
  • Knowledge of loading/unloading trucks, delivering goods to stands, and using pallet trucks.
  • Experience with customs formalities, including UK export and import processes and international customs documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with transit documentation.


Working Conditions: This role requires flexibility in working hours based on event schedules, which may include early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work. International travel may also be required.
