Location: KilburnHelp shape the next generation of rail professionalsWere looking for a passionate Technical Trainer to join our Training Operations team in this hands-on role you will deliver high-quality training assessment and certification to Aurizon employees and contractorsensuring our people have the skills confidence and capability to operate safely and effectively across the rail network.If youre motivated by developing others love being in the field and want a MondayFriday role with no shift work this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.About the roleAs a Technical Trainer you will deliver and support a range of rail operations training programs including:Certificate IV in Train Driving across key operational subjects such as Safeworking Shunting and Train Examination.Engine & Airbrake Training Schools to build technical competency across locomotive operations.Leveraging technologyincluding Virtual Reality training and future simulator-based learningto enhance capability in a safe and controlled environment.Conducting on-job assessments and providing in-field coaching to trainees and operational staff.Identifying training needs supporting process improvements and contributing to continuous uplift in driver capability.About youYou will bring a passion for developing people along with:Certificate IV in Train Driving (or equivalent).Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or willingness to obtain.Experience delivering training within the rail industry (highly regarded).Strong communication and coaching capability with the confidence to work with trainees drivers and operational leaders.A collaborative mindset and commitment to safety excellence.Why youll love this roleMonday to Friday roster enjoy worklife balance and keep your weekends free.Play a critical role in uplifting operational safety and capability.Be part of a supportive team that embraces modern training tools and continuous improvement.Make a long-lasting impacteveryone remembers the trainer who helped shape their career.What we offer you:At Aurizon we support the development and growth of our employees.
