Role Summary:

This job is based at our manufacturing site in Lockerbie, reporting to the Quality Manager, as a member of our SHEQ team, to manage the product and service quality and support the health, safety and environmental requirements of the site. We are looking for someone with technical expertise, problem-solving skills and the desire to make significant improvements across site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quality inspections and proactively work to identify gaps to improve performance.
  • Conduct and report on internal audits; to identify and communicate improvements, non-conformities and action points.
  • Update and control electronic documents and records including data inputting for internal systems.
  • Maintain documents and records, including complaints registers, departmental training records, audit reports, traceability documents and investigations.
  • Produce and circulate agendas.
  • Take minutes of relevant meetings and circulate.
  • Collate data for creating and circulating reports, including key performance indicators.
  • Assist the management of customer complaints and work with other departments towards resolution and follow up actions.
  • Assist in updating and creating relevant policies and procedures across site.
  • Provide support on all quality issues to internal and external customers.
  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of self and others.


Skills and Experience:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently.
  • A minimum of 1 year working within a quality department/role.
  • Strong focus on compliance with GDPR.
  • Chemical or manufacturing industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Calm, approachable, personable, punctual, and professional manner.
  • Solution focused approach to confidently resolve queries and problems.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Ability to be flexible and understanding.



Mon-Fri 35 hours per week (with flexibility)
