Educational Psychologist

- Support Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments, ensuring psychological services meet statutory duties.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, schools, and agencies to enhance the skills of professionals and improve early intervention.
- Work closely with children and young people, using person-centred planning to achieve positive outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to development meetings with Family Partnership Zones and other Local Authority teams.
- Contribute to the in-service training of teachers, providing expert advice to improve educational practices.
- Align your work with service policies, ensuring the delivery of coordinated and effective support.
- A post-graduate professional qualification that qualifies you to practice as an Educational Psychologist in the UK (or will have this qualification by the start date).
- Strong understanding of children’s rights and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience with various assessment methods to support children’s social, emotional, and resiliency skills.
- In-depth knowledge of psychological theories, evidence-based interventions for SEND, and current national developments in education and psychology.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with health and social care colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and professional integrity.
- Make a direct impact on the lives of children and families by providing critical psychological support.
