Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Author to transform the way our customers interact with and understand technical content. You will lead in creating, managing and maintaining high quality technical guides that support our products and services. With the autonomy to create new and exciting approaches, beyond just written documentation and including pictorial guides, videos and QR codes, your work will be instrumental in enhancing customer experience by ensuring that our customers and internal teams have access to clear, accurate, and user-friendly information.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and service manuals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
  • Create clear, concise, and accurate written content that effectively communicates complex technical information to various audiences.
  • Update and revise existing documentation to reflect product updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance the clarity and usability of documentation.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Continuously seek feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation quality and effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Author, Technical Writer, or similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, etc.).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
