I’ve exclusively partnered with British Luxury Fashion brand who are looking for an innovative and detail-driven Design Director to join their dynamic design team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on original research and excels at creating immersive narratives around each collection.


My client is looking for a designer with a deep passion for luxury, an impeccable eye for detail, and a deep passion for luxury fashion, coupled with a strong appreciation for fabric, print, and colour.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Creative Director to shape the creative vision and define the seasonal direction.
  • Deliver exceptional designs across all product categories, ensuring they embody the brand’s identity.
  • Uphold a meticulous and original design process, emphasizing comprehensive research from authentic sources.
  • Develop captivating mood boards, seasonal themes, and colour palettes that inspire and align with the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Partner with the Merchandiser to design collections that strike the perfect balance between commercial appeal and innovative design.
  • Direct the creative vision for print design, managing collaborations with both in-house and freelance designers.
  • Supervise the colour-up process and review print strike-offs, ensuring impeccable execution and adherence to the design vision.
  • Lead and manage the design team, offering guidance and support to ensure all designs meet seasonal critical path deadlines.
  • Present design concepts and collections during team reviews and company-wide meetings.


I’m looking for a Design Director with a proven track record in luxury fashion design, with 8+ years of experience in a similar role. Outstanding research skills and a passion for crafting immersive narratives around collections. Exceptional design abilities, supported by a portfolio showcasing original, innovative, and commercially successful work.


Comprehensive knowledge of luxury fabrics, finishes, and garment construction. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and other relevant design tools.
