This specialist school based in Newham are looking for a Therapeutic Education practitioners with experience of working with challenging children and young people. This is a specialist PRU school that caters for young people who have been excluded or at risk of being excluded from a mainstream school. This will be out in the community based. Summary of Role: Therapeutic Education practitioners will have the opportunity to work in this SEMH school with an international reputation in special education expertise, curriculum and resources. Experience of working with hard to reach young people with SEMH/ACE’s/ASD/Sensory and communication difficulties. We are looking for candidates who are ‘Trauma informed’ with a mentoring/coaching/teaching background with an understanding of Therapeutic Education. Have the ability to build strong, meaningful and healthy relationships. Who can maintain professional boundaries, are resilient, solution focussed and reflective in their practise.
