We are seeking a proactive and driven Internal Salesperson to join our Business Development Team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the commercial and residential market, who is eager to actively contact potential customers, including M&E design consultants, housebuilders & developers, contractors, and resellers, to engage in new business activities. Reporting directly to the Internal Business Development Team Leader, you will be a key player in driving the company’s growth.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Gain face-to-face appointments for the field sales team with key decision-makers.
  • Generate and qualify sales lead opportunities, progressing prospect quotes to orders.
  • Increase the company income forecast by adding new opportunities to the Prospect365 CRM.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and documentation within the Prospect365 CRM.
  • Be adaptable and cover for colleagues during periods of absenteeism.
Key Objectives & Targets:
  • Develop relationships and opportunities with key industry professionals and organisations.
  • Arrange both face-to-face and virtual customer meetings.
  • Secure customer commitments and written specifications for our ventilation products.
  • Analyse lead opportunities and take action to convert them into sales.
  • Utilise product selection software tools to carry out selections and upsell where possible.
  • Stay informed on the latest building regulations and industry standards.
  • Research and identify potential new clients and project lead opportunities.
  • Submit regular reports on sales orders, invoiced sales, income forecast values, and track performance against sales budget targets.
  • Achieve sales targets by converting project lead opportunities to orders.
  • Present CPD seminars to clients and actively generate these opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous sales or business development experience.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC industry and CRM experience is preferable.
