Our client is a global law firm renowned for their expertise in dispute resolution, especially in defending insurance and liability claims.

The Role

The Marine team provides assistance to domestic and international clients on a comprehensive range of marine insurance, wet and dry shipping, and trade issues.

This role involves handling and assisting with marine insurance claims, including hull, war, marine liability, cargo, mortgagee's interest insurance, marine cyber, and yachts, as well as wet and dry shipping. The position also requires some policy drafting.

Our client is particularly interested in candidates with experience in arbitration (especially under LMAA terms) and litigation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading marine team recognised in the Legal 500 UK 2023 edition.

Key requirements:

  1. 2-4 years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience.
  2. Candidates from overseas are welcome if they possess the necessary skills, experience, and a valid work permit.
  3. Experience of marine insurance gained at a recognised shipping law firm.
  4. Familiarity with arbitration and court procedures.
  5. Previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
