Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Post general journals and upload financial data to the accounting system.
- Generate reports on customer sales, debtors, creditors, and bank/cash activities.
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support year-end audit evidence gathering and compile the initial audit pack.
- Process weekly payroll and provide cover for monthly payroll processing as required, addressing and resolve payroll and pension-related queries.
- Monitor subsidiary cash flow and coordinate month-end payment runs.
- Provide support for the purchase and sales ledger function.
What are we looking for?
- Keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an accounting role.
- Relevant accounting qualification.
- Brilliant time management skills.
