Summary
The role of Team Assistant (Commercial and Regulatory Affairs)sits within VIRTUS Commercial and Regulatory Affairs team. This team is accountable for:
- Ensuring VIRTUS is fully compliant with all relevant legislation.
- Rolling out the ESG roadmap for the business.
- Risk management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to the following:
- Typical administration functions such as coordinating meetings taking minutes preparing agendas updating filing systems preparing notices and assisting with preparing reports and presentations
- Helping to improve processes and functionality within the Commercial & Regulatory Affairs department
- Assist with internal and external audits which would involve supporting the Compliance Team with collating information ensuring that all information is up to date and fit for purpose and booking audit meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to manage customer and shareholder requests for information.
- Partner with the ESG Lead on projects to deliver the ESG roadmap
- Coordinate with the SVP Commercial & Regulatory Affairs on property planning power and insurance workstreams
- Some accounts coordination
What success looks like in 12 months time:
- Fully up to speed and working well within the team
- Full understanding of the requirements of the department and the business
- Be able to work on projects and deliverables without close supervision.
Person Specification
- Strong interest in ESG preferable
- Excellent organisation skills flexibility to get involved across a range of activities
- Team player but also a selfstarter
- Good Office 365 skills PowerPoint Excel Word
- Good literacy in the English language is essential
- Data centre experience not essential
- Previous experience in a compliance role is useful but not essential.
Any other reasonable requests made by your line manager.
In line with VIRTUS Vetting Policy the successful applicant must be willing to undergo a BS7858 screening process.
