Shipping Manager- Office based, Epsom- Up to £40k Pod Talent are excited to be working with a fantastic food commodities business based in Epsom, who are looking for a Shipping Manager to join their collaborative and close knit team. You will be exposed to global markets , working with freight forwarders, and arranging customs clearance processes, communicating shipment issues where necessary. Some role responsibilities:
- negotiating freight rates and maintaining a record of costs
- arrange clearance of all goods in accordance with tariffs
- arrange inbound haulage and checking invoices
The ideal candidate:
- must have experience in container shipping
- knowledge of incoterms and clearance documentation
- good Excel knowledge
- a food background is ideal but we are open to see candidates from other FMCG industries
