About the Role
Our client’s Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team, staffed with senior leadership from top tech companies, is on a mission to modernize their infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies and automation. They are seeking an experienced SRE to join their Network Automation Team to help design and build the infrastructure for their next-generation Network Automation platform.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Network Automation Team to deploy infrastructure for a new automation platform.
- Apply SRE principles, including measurement (SLI/SLO/SLA), eliminating toil, and reliability modeling.
- Establish metrics to drive data-driven decisions for increased availability, reliability, and velocity.
- Build, maintain, and evolve SLO and SLI baselines for network, system, and application performance.
- Assist with go/no-go planning, verification, validation, and review of products/services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve business-impacting issues in collaboration with internal customers.
- Handle escalations, incident response, RCA, and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.
- Proficient in Python and Go; experience with C/C++ is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of Linux systems, network programming, and protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP).
- Experience with BGP and Anycast routing is beneficial.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools (Ansible/Saltstack, CI/CD, monitoring, and visualization).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka).
- Experience with containerization and management (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Skilled in analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, and UI visualization.
- Proven experience in software development, troubleshooting, and monitoring large-scale distributed systems.
