Accredited employer with Mindful Employer Disability Confident and Real Living Wage.Role BackgroundAs a Service Coordinator youll play an important part in supporting our Children and Young Peoples services with a particular focus on Know Your Mind and Hospital Buddies. Working closely with the Service Manager youll help ensure teams are well organised and supported and equipped to deliver consistent high-quality care. While your primary focus will be on CYP provision you may at times contribute to other services as part of our flexible and collaborative approach.This role suits someone who enjoys creating structure in busy environments and who takes a proactive approach to problem-solving. Youll help foster a culture where safe practice clear communication and strong teamwork underpin everything we do.By coordinating daily operations managing schedules and keeping information flowing smoothly youll provide the stability that allows staff to focus on supporting young people. Your contribution will help the Service Manager and wider team continue to strengthen our services and deliver support that has a meaningful impact on the lives of those we work with.Role PurposeAs a Service Coordinator youll support the effective day-to-day running of our mental health services for children and young people. Working under the direction of the Service Manager youll focus on the internal operations that keep services safe consistent and high quality. Your responsibilities will include line management oversight of daily delivery rota coordination incident and safeguarding processes and the monitoring of performance data and reporting.By ensuring teams have the right resources systems and guidance in place youll contribute to a stable and supportive environment where staff can deliver excellent care and where young people receive the timely reliable support they deserve.Role OutcomesEnsuring the service operates efficiently supporting the Service Manager in delivering high-quality care that meets operational goals Supporting your team to be high performing by fostering clear communication and taking a proactive problem-solving approachMaintain a safe and supportive environment by ensuring timely identification reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns while actively engaging with multi-agency partners Ensuring accurate and timely collection and reporting of service data supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement as well as ensuring adherence to data protection regulations and best practices Oversee staff scheduling and rota management to ensure seamless delivery effectively managing absences and annual leave to minimise disruption Supporting the Service Manager to lead your team in alignment with our mission objectives policies and core values: Caring Always Working Together Supporting Everyone Enabling All and Continually Improving Ensure service members are supported by delivering direct sessions when needed and helping to maintain staff cover for shifts to meet service demands.Support the on-call rota to ensure all staff have access to support and guidance out of hoursActively engage in supervision team meetings and company events to contribute to a well-connected informed and supportive team environment Successfully complete all mandatory and role-specific training to ensure best practices in safeguarding data protection health and safety and mental health awareness Adapt to evolving organisational needs by taking on additional responsibilities as required ensuring a cohesive and effective team approachPerson SpecificationBDC Mind is committed to promoting mental health awareness reducing stigma and improving the quality of life for people with mental health challenges.
