We are a team of exceptional and passionate scientists, engineers, designers, and business innovators committed to driving regenerative change through biomimicry to realign cultural and natural systems. Our mission is to create a future where human activities are symbiotic with nature to secure humanity’s future and we are looking for a visionary and strategic Impact Solutions Director to further this mission and lead our engagement with multinationals and governments by helping them solve the complex sustainability issues they face.

About the role…

As the Impact Solutions Director, you will leverage Biohm's proprietary biomimicry-based methodologies to address complex environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a business model that delivers high-impact, sustainable solutions for multinational clients, guiding them toward achieving their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take charge of creating innovative service offerings and building, as well as leading, a team dedicated to driving measurable impact. Your work will expand Biohm’s leadership position in biomimicry and biotech towards regenerative business solutions and establish lasting partnerships with key industry players.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business model for Biohm Partners, targeting the sustainability and ESG-related challenges of multinational clients.
  • Build and manage a solutions framework that integrates Biohm’s biomimicry-driven approach to address complex environmental and social challenges.
  • Define revenue streams and ensure the division achieves its profitability and growth targets, with a focus on scalability and long-term impact.

P&L Management and Financial Oversight:

  • Set and manage financial KPIs, including revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the impact solutions division.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Client Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with multinational clients, acting as a trusted partner in addressing their SDG and ESG challenges using Biohm's biomimicry-based approach.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable impact.

Solutions Delivery and Project Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of impact solutions projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and high-impact results.
  • Build and lead a team of specialists or work with external experts to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions for clients.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to support the growth of Biohm.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the division, encouraging team members to excel in delivering regenerative solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Impact teams to integrate the latest research and technological advances into client solutions.
  • Work closely with the CEO, Managing Director, Head of IP, Head of Partnerships, and external legal counsel to ensure that all of Biohm’s IP is well-protected as it evolves over time.
  • Work with marketing and commercialisation teams to build Biohm’s brand presence, developing case studies, thought leadership content, and industry events to raise awareness of and showcase Biohm' successes.
  • Share insights gained from client engagements to inform Biohm’s broader research, development, and commercialisation strategies.

Service Development and Innovation:

  • Continuously evolve Biohm’ offerings based on client feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Develop new services and products that align with Biohm’s mission and provide innovative, impactful solutions to clients.

Impact Measurement and Reporting:

  • Ensure that all solutions projects deliver measurable sustainability outcomes that align with clients' ESG and SDG goals.
  • Develop and implement impact measurement frameworks to assess and report the long-term outcomes of Biohm' engagements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and board on performance, including financial performance, client acquisition, and project outcomes.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including industry partners and thought leaders, to promote Biohm’s mission and drive industry-wide change.

Key Requirements & skills:
