HR Project Officer

Neway is looking for a HR Project Officer to join our client based with Southwark Council.
This role is starting 19th Feb, working 36 hours a week in an ongoing contract.
- support workforce design and development across Housing linked to transformation work
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To, plan and allocate resources to deliver timely and effective HR project activities i.e. workforce and resourcing planning, employee relations (namely as part of the consultation process), advice and support, service/organisational change, succession planning, talent management, developing people management capacity and sustaining strong working relationships to achieve operational and strategic transformation priorities.
Support, guide and develop line managers, senior managers and HR colleagues to successfully deliver HR change and achieve business objectives in line with the transformation plans.
To be an expert in HR generalist and people projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. To lead the delivery of HRBP plans, ensuring alignment to directorate transformation objectives and contributing to the commitments in the Council delivery plan.
3.Contribute to the development and evolvement of the HRBP service, enabling professional development, fostering a strong culture of teamwork, performance and accountability, through learning, coaching and challenge.
4. To devise solutions for the planning and management of people including workforce planning, employee relations and organisational change for Asset Management to meet current and future business needs in line with the transformation priorities and commitments in the Council delivery plan and workforce strategy.
5.To input and deliver data informed stories at strategic and operational levels that identifies data patterns, predicts trends and recommends options that leaders can proactively focus on to enhance employee experiences.
6. Provide high quality HR advice and guidance to line managers and senior managers on complex staffing issues relating to both individuals and groups of staff, which supports and promotes the employee experience.
7. Contribute to the consistency in the quality of advice and guidance to managers undertaking formal processes i.e. consultation process, disciplinary, grievances, ill health and capability at different stages including consistency of processes for preparing and attending conciliation or employment tribunals.
8. Work effectively with the Employee Relations’(ER) team to plan, discuss and communicate ER related activities, identify solutions and monitor progress to ensure efficient and employee centric approaches.
9. Contribute to reflective lessons learned of HR activities with HR colleagues, managers and key stakeholders looking at the processes followed, recognising good practice, listening to feedback, improving, and learning from practice.
10. To regularly review policy, procedures and processes in line with employment practice and legislation changes, particularly relating to transformation, as required to deliver a streamlined and timely HR service.
11. To work collaboratively across our HR teams by sharing resources to achieve key priorities, undertake projects and lead on partnership activities.
12. To champion and proactively support the implementation of the Council’s vision to be an ever more inclusive, anti-racist organisation and model positive behaviours that demonstrate the Council’s values.
13. To ensure that all duties and responsibilities are discharged in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures, and any relevant legislation and regulation.
