Location: Duration: Permanent, Full Time Roles that require PVG Membership Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour) The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment. Job purpose/about the role The Housing Property Officer involves supporting the Council deliver a place where all people can prosper by providing an efficient lease signing, termination, and void process to customers and colleagues. The Housing Property Officer will contribute to helping tenants and their families sustain their tenancies by working with the Housing and Support Officer, other colleagues and external partners. This will involve providing information to tenants and signposting them to services Qualified or working towards mandatory achievement of level 3 SVQ (SCQF Level 7) Health and Social Care related qualification to meet registration requirement (within 3 years of registration)The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:Standard Grade or EquivalentThe postholder is able to demonstrate: Proven ability to deliver public services to required standards Proven ability to work autonomously and using own initiative Proven ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively Proven ability of dealing with the public in difficult, confrontational and sensitive situations Proven ability to work to challenging deadlines Proven ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with a wide range of audience.
