A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting for a Japanese-Speaking Sales Assistant and Operation Coordinator in their Brand Marketing Department in London.

They are seeking an all-round flexible team player with proven administrative and sales experience. The role involves providing support to the Brand Marketing Team in London and the Japanese Head Office, with a focus on efficient and accurate administration and customer liaison.

TYPE: Permanent, full-timeWORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00SALARY: £37-39K depending on experience, plus good benefits

  • Making sure that orders/ deliveries/ samples/ payments/ administration and commission payments proceed smoothly for both customers and Head Office
  • Attending clients /HQ staff from Japan
  • Daily support on all inquiries between customers/HQ as well as requests such as booking hotels, cars, restaurants and so on
  • Arrangement of approval with designers /HQ
  • Translation between Japanese and English to business level
  • Logistics (mainly air) arrangements
  • Meeting/VIP arrangement
  • Accounting/Finance related duties and GSAP usage

Japanese speaking Sales Assistant and Operation CoordinatorIdeal Candidate:

  • Relevant experience of import/export and logistics
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Native level of communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • Cooperative, flexible and "Can do" attitude
  • Accurate and proven numerical skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good time and task management, ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Understanding and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Be able to travel for work
  • Research ability
  • Excellent organising skills
