We are looking for a skilled and experienced New Business Account Executive to join our dynamic Marketing team. This role is responsible for the full business development process for new inbound opportunities and proactive outbound activity following initial qualification. Managing the relationship throughout, the New Business Account Executive will bring in expertise at appropriate intervals to input specialist sector or service line knowledge


You will have a good knowledge and understanding of basic accounting practices and how they apply to businesses, be a confident presenter and communicator, and be able to efficiently manage your own workload.


Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Initial follow up, qualification and nurturing of inbound new business leads
  • Manage and lead discovery calls, ensuring sector or service line specialists attend when necessary
  • Negotiate terms, prepare proposals, effective objection handling, and close deals, ensuring that both client and company interests are met
  • Forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales whilst developing a reliable pipeline
  • Work with the outbound marketing team to influence targeting and messaging
  • Maintaining regular contact with prospects and communicating with onboarding team to support smooth client engagement
  • Proactively contribute ideas to streamline sales process and improve win rates


Technical Expertise

You will be responsible for:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively conveying ideas, negotiating deals, and building relationships with clients.
  • Service knowledge: A deep understanding of our services allowing for tailored solutions that meet client needs. Good knowledge and understanding of basic accounting practices and how they apply to businesses
  • Relationship Management: The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through active listening, empathy, and trust is key to long-term success.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating terms that benefit both the client, and the company is critical for closing deals.
  • Time Management: Effective prioritisation and organisation skills to manage multiple relationships and tasks efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Being flexible and responsive to changing market conditions and client needs is important in a dynamic business environment.
  • CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management tools help in tracking interactions and managing client information effectively.
