Information Technology Business Analyst

Our client, a fintech organisation based in Edinburgh, is seeking a Junior IT Business Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to undertake core Business Analysis duties, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and process mapping. You will work with a range of stakeholders and support the delivery of projects, within specific project teams.


Key Responsibilities include,


· Provide accurate estimates for all analysis activities to assist with estimating project costs / timescales

· Deliver analysis activities to the budget, timescales and quality criteria of the relevant development project or maintenance release through the complete lifecycle (and during the post release warranty period)

· Analyse, review, and improve existing business analysis artefacts and processes (e.g. models, diagrams, interface specifications, documentation) or create and maintain these artefacts, if they do not already exist

· Collate and review existing requirements, assess status of deliverables through information gathering and gap analysis and identify new / enhanced requirements

· Along with the project / programme manager and the Head of Business Analysis, participate in and enforce the Change Management / Change Control Process


In order to be success in the role, candidates ideally need,


· 2+ years working as a IT Business Analyst in a similar setting

· Experience in Application Support or Customer Services

· An understanding of web-based technologies (web-based technologies, UI/UX considerations and best practices, database setup, data analysis)

· Skills in translating complex business requirements (both general and technical) into high quality functional and non-functional requirements that the required solution needs to provide

· Experience of gathering requirements and facilitating workshops

· The ability to manage stakeholders at all levels

-Financial Services experience (ideally in the pensions space)



Please note that this role is remote with only occasional office days if required and includes an exceptional benefits package which includes an 11% non-contribution pension and a 3.5% benefits pot allowance and bonus
