They are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, working in Key Stage 1 with a focus on supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position is available to start in September for the full academic year with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of a child with ASD. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering tailored support in line with the child's EHCP, facilitating engaging learning activities, and providing specialized assistance with phonics instruction.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one support to a child with ASD, ensuring their safety and well-being.Implement and adapt lesson plans to meet the child's individual needs.Utilise your expertise in phonics to support literacy development.Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the child's progress.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Qualifications and Experience:Previous experience working with children with ASD in a school setting.Proficiency in phonics instruction and early literacy strategies.Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needsIf you feel this role would be suited to you, please submit your CV via the application page or contact Hugh at LTF Recruitment.
