Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Compliance Engineer providing product compliance documentation for products sold on the European Market. A major part of the role will include monitoring EU Directives and regulations eg EMC, LVD, ATEX, PED, REACH, RoHS, MD for updatesand changes, as well as the EU Official Journal and UK Government websites.The role will involve working as part of the larger Team by collaborating with Engineers inother groups within the business.The purpose of the role is to ensure that all legislative requirements are met and product documentation such as Declarations of Conformity, Technical Files, Manuals etc, are kept completeand up to date. There will also be technical queries to respond to from customers.Part of the role will require training to become an internal auditor, carrying out internal audits under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.Requirements:A degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic EngineeringAn understanding of CE markingExperience of technical report writingExcellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and communicate clearlyThe ability to occasionally travel to EuropeSome experience with standards or regulationsGood knowledge of Microsoft officeDesirable, but not essential:Previous involvement with standards, regulations, directives etcWorking in a manufacturing companyCooperation with test houses or notified bodiesInternal auditor experienceDue to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
