Butler Rose is recruiting a Financial Controller for a large, established business in Bridgwater. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team and oversee various financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:.

  • Provide deputy management oversight for the Credit Control and broader accounts team as necessary.
  • Manage monthly journals, accruals, and payments
  • Take the lead on consolidated management accounts.
  • Maintain cash flow projections, implementing optimal treasury strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts and Payroll Team to ensure adherence to company, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise VAT claims, government grants, and review quarterly VAT returns.
  • Engage in company-wide accounting initiatives and audits to meet reporting criteria.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and administration of company accounting systems, offering guidance as necessary.
  • Lead the forecasts and budgeting processes in conjunction with other departments and the Financial Director.

To be considered you will ideally be a fully (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) however candidates who are qualified by expereince may also be considered and have experience working in a similar role.
