We’re designers and manufacturers of dance footwear, more specifically shoes for Ballroom & Latin American dancing (think the style of Strictly, because we make the shoes for that). Since 1981 we’ve been a family business proudly making shoes in the UK and exporting them globally, working with some of the best dancers in the world along the way to innovate and develop our footwear to help all dancers from kids to adults and beginners to professionals achieve their goals whether that’s competing at the highest level or simply having fun and keeping active. What makes our footwear business unique is our challenge of making very smart and elegant looking shoes feel and wear like a comfy, durable athletic shoe. We have two brands: our prestigious, customisable International Dance Shoes collection and our Dansport collection for social dancers, beginners and students.


THE ROLE


We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our marketing strategy, increasing brand awareness, and boosting sales. The ideal candidate will excel in social media and email marketing, have a proven track record of successful campaigns across various channels, and possess a strong understanding of both athletic and fashion marketing. The Marketing Manager will take full ownership of our marketing strategy, with a particular focus on enhancing our social media presence, managing email campaigns, creating & publishing engaging content, and leveraging partnerships with sponsored dancers. Additionally, the role will involve supporting e-commerce tasks and optimizing our digital presence to improve user experience and conversion rates.


LOCATION: Milton Keynes (happy for some days working from home) 


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


·       Develop & execute marketing strategies to drive sales growth and brand awareness for both brands

·       Manage and optimise social media accounts including Instagram & TikTok: increase our reach and improve our engagement, create a social media strategy and organise/create/publish content

·       Engage with followers, respond to comments & message to help build a strong online community

·       Own our email marketing strategy and create campaigns to drive traffic and sales (both D2C and B2B). Segment lists & personalise email content to maximise impact

·       Create and manage online ads on various platforms

·       Utilise re-targeting tools, overlays + our loyalty programme to improve conversion + retention

·       Improve content marketing efforts: (blog, photography, UGC, video content, make more of our reviews etc.)

·       Work with our team of sponsored dancers across the world to enhance brand visibility, planning and scheduling joint posts etc.

·       Assist in adding/editing products, descriptions, info pages/other content in our e-commerce platform, help us enhance user experience + improve conversion rates online

·       Regularly analyse data from marketing channels to understand performance + optimise strategies

·       Other: help at events with sales/generating content, offline marketing (print ads/event planning/promotions), support sales staff on other promotions

·       Other opportunities/projects within the business may also be presented to you as you learn and develop within the business


ABOUT YOU


·       A degree in Marketing / Business / E-Commerce or a related field

·       3+ years of experience in marketing and e-commerce, preferably within the sportswear or fashion

·       Proven experience with social media management, highly proficient with Instagram and TikTok

·       Experience in working with paid ads and digital marketing tools

·       Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making

·       Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills

·       Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box

·       Efficient self-starter with ability to work from an idea phase to execution

·       Passion for dance or familiarity with the dance industry is a plus

·       Some experience with e-commerce platforms

·       Some experience using AI or a willingness to embrace it + other new technologies & platforms
