Good Relations Officer

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Good Relations Officer to join their team based in Newtownabbey. This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5. Salary £37,825 per annum, plus benefits. The Good Relations Officer role will include leading the development, delivery, and review of a Good Relations Strategy and Action Plan, working to improve community relations and cultural diversity through strategic initiatives and partnerships. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor the Good Relations Strategy in alignment with wider organisational plans. Manage budgets, ensure financial compliance, and prepare progress reports. Design and deliver programs that promote cultural diversity and address community needs. Build partnerships with government, community, and voluntary sectors to deliver impactful initiatives. Oversee and promote grant programs, ensuring transparency and accountability. Provide advice on emerging issues, policies, and best practices to senior management. Deliver training and identify funding opportunities to enhance program impact. The Ideal Person: Relevant degree or significant experience in programme management, policy development, and partnership building. Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of governance, funding opportunities, and community relations. Competency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel as required.
