Role Overview:

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Support Specialist with extensive experience in POS retail environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in Java and SQL, along with a proven track record of supporting and troubleshooting retail POS systems. As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing their retail technology solutions, providing exceptional support to their clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level application support for our POS systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted retail operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to POS software, hardware, and network connectivity.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.

Utilize your Java and SQL skills to analyze, diagnose, and fix application issues.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and regular maintenance to keep POS systems up-to-date.

Document and track issues, resolutions, and best practices to improve support processes.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and customer service, to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a POS retail environment.

Proficiency in Java and SQL for troubleshooting and development purposes.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality support.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with various POS systems and related technologies.

Familiarity with retail operations and industry best practices.

Certification in Java, SQL, or relevant technologies is a plus.
