An energy services company operating in the Heat networks sector are currently looking to recruit a well seasoned Project Manager to take control of the construction phase of a large energy infrastructure project in Exeter.


The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a multi-million pound energy infrastructure (preferably in heat networks/district heating, but not essential). The project will have a sub-contractor working on-site who will be engaged to complete the design and build. The Project Manager's job will entail managing the budget, time, stakeholders and general success of the project from the client side. The chosen candidate will be capable of managing risk and governance and will also have a keen eye on health and safety in a construction environment.


This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody based in the South West to be responsible for the successful implementation of a landmark project aimed at decarbonising the city of Exeter.


Desired skills/experiences/location


  • Based in the South West. It is not a site role but regular visits to the local authority stakeholders and project base will be required
  • 5+ years project or programme management experience in energy infrastructure
  • Strong stakeholder management and board level communication skills
  • Capable of managing governance, risk and Health & safety
