About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Met Office. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Lead and manage project teams, including project coordinators, administrators, and specialists
  • Coordinate and manage project resources, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and team members
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, including project progress, issues, and risks
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, including project planning, execution, and delivery
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate project teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
