FJA are looking to recruit a Financial Controller on behalf of our client who specialise in the Manufacturing industry in the Rossendale area of Lancashire.Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and an early Friday finish, working 8am – 12.30pm. The role is fully office based in their Rossendale office.  Financial Controller Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining the Company accounts and the Accounts department on a day to day basis
  • Senior member of the Management Team – you will deputise for the Directors when they are not in the office
  • Work closely with Managing Director and other members of the Management team to optimise Company performance
  • Work remotely with Management and Accounts teams at headquarters in Europe to provide reports, analysis and insight as required
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit and loss and provide Managing Director with a monthly variance report
  • Prepare statutory reports as required and liaise with relevant auditors/accountants, including statutory accounts, corporation tax return
  • Manage UK Payroll and liaise with relevant agencies and authorities
  • Manage year-end audit process including year-end stock takes
  • Perform monthly stock valuation and analysis.
