We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of all financial activities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and providing support to the Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the finance department, ensuring the efficient operation of all financial activities.
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing financial reports, including cash flow, monthly journals, and trial balance.
- Manage the Purchase Ledger/Finance Assistant and Sales Ledger Assistant, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement procedures for the Accounts department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare reports to support the Financial Controller, including VAT returns, wage queries, and payment processing.
- Oversee the monthly payment run, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Substantial experience in a similar finance management position, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
