Proclinical is seeking an experienced Epidemiologist to provide leadership for real-world studies across various designs and approaches, from early clinical development through the post-approval stage. This role involves designing methodologically sound studies, providing input on data elements, conducting and reviewing analyses, and ensuring data quality and scientific rigor. The successful candidate will work closely with global clients and other functional groups under the supervision of senior staff. An experienced candidate is a necessity for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and implement epidemiology/pharmacoepidemiology methods in real-world studies.
  • Assist senior staff on research initiatives.
  • Serve as project lead on smaller projects or support project leads on larger projects.
  • Author protocols, reports, and other study documents, ensuring quality and completeness.
  • Review and provide epidemiological input to statistical analysis plans and outputs.
  • Provide input for tasks including CRF/eCRF development and other project tasks.
  • Interact with clients with senior staff involvement as needed.
  • Identify and address client-related, budget-related, and internal issues.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to achieve best practices.
  • Generate content and direction for business development proposals on smaller projects.
  • Represent the company externally through conference presentations.
  • Oversee or conduct statistical analysis as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality proposals for new projects.
  • Develop best practices in epidemiology and observational research.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Certification in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, public health, pharmacy, or a relevant scientific field.
  • Strong working experience in designing and running observational studies of comparative effectiveness and safety.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; medical writing experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a global and matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Edge; ability to read outputs from SAS, R, or other programming languages.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to meet objectives.
