If so, this could be your next move.We are currently partnered with a notorious leading retail giant who are on the hunt for two Senior Business Development Managers to take the reins across their growing wholesale division. One role will focus on driving large-scale corporate and key account partnerships, while the other will lead acquisition within the traditional independent retail sector. You’ll be strategically locating, targeting, and securing new business across contracts ranging from independent stores under £2m through to multi-site corporate accounts worth up to £20M+. They genuinely care about making a difference and put their people first, reflected in their excellent retention rate and reputation for looking after their teams.The Roles:In these roles, you’ll be responsible for generating and developing profitable leads as part of the annual new business targets, ensuring that processes, lead generation, and reporting are fit for purpose and continually improving. Whether you’re securing multi-site corporate groups or onboarding high-quality independent retailers, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding the wholesale offering and delivering long-term commercial growth. If you’ve got tenacity, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in new business development, this is an opportunity to elevate your career and make a meaningful impact across the organisation.Responsibilities:Achieve annual new business growth targets across either the corporate multi-site channel or the traditional independent retail sector.Lead the full sales process for opportunities ranging from independent retailers through to large corporate groups worth up to £20M in annual revenue.Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective recruitment strategies that maximise ROI and pipeline quality.Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party lead generators, prospects, and senior stakeholders.Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, benchmarking offerings and identifying opportunities to strengthen market position.Ideal Candidates Will Have:Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within retail, FMCG, or wholesale.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and professionally.The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively to achieve outstanding results.Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a varied and busy pipeline.Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.The resilience, commercial instinct, and confidence needed to navigate complex sales cycles and secure high-value partnerships.Sound like the next step in your career?
