The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our executive team and lead our technological vision and strategy.

The CTO will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company. This leadership role involves strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company’s technology and engineering teams. The CTO will drive technological innovation, ensure the efficient execution of product development, and maintain the integrity of the company’s technology systems and services.



Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the company’s technology strategy to support business objectives.
  • Advise the executive team on emerging technologies and trends that could impact the business.
  • Identify and prioritise technology initiatives and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
  • Mentor and guide team members to grow their skills and careers.

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with the Product Director to define and deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Drive innovation in product development, ensuring the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

Technology Operations:

  • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the company’s technology infrastructure.
  • Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with other executives to align technology goals with organisational goals.
  • Communicate technology strategy to partners, stakeholders, and customers as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Financial Management

  • Manage the technology budget and ensure cost-effective technology investments.
  • Optimise operational costs through efficient technology solutions and processes.
  • Ensure that technology investments provide a strong return on investment.



Requirements

Professional Experience

  • Proven experience as a CTO, Vice President of Engineering, or a similar leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in software development, system architecture, and IT management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology projects and product development initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages and development frameworks.
