Job Title: Chief Innovation Officer

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Hybrid working – Expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Innovation Officer to join our team at AWD online. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's technology strategy and innovation agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the company's technology strategy to drive innovation and support business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment and support for the technology vision.
  • Develop and manage a technology roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives, and ensure it is integrated with the company's future products and services.
  • Maintain, improve and develop the Company's IoT products and services.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team of IoT software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, focusing on scalability, efficiency, data protection, and cybersecurity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Company's team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all technology operations comply with regulatory standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on technical background with expertise in cloud services and/or IoT/App development, software development and IT.
  • Experience of working in product development alongside electronics, software, and mechanical engineers.
  • Proven track record of developing new or advanced technologies within a growing industrial manufacturing business.
  • A team player, with demonstrated experience in leading and coaching teams, setting clear objectives, and driving performance.
