Job descriptionFramestore is looking for an Asset Generalistto join us in the London office.This is a wide-rangingrole within the asset teamthat will be responsible for asset creation across a variety of high end content including Advertising Episodic and Immersive projects. The Asset Generalist will be expected to take a hands-on approach to creating highly accurate and efficient CG assets across a variety of styles. For this role in particular wed like candidates to have an especially strong background in modelling ideally creaturesbut they should also have considerable knowledge of texturing and understanding of look development.This will be a fixed term role and project specific initially but we would be hopeful of extension.Responsibilities:Execute accurate texturing and all types of assets capturing accurate surface qualities for CG creatures and hard surface assetsCreating models as briefed and/or in line with reference materialsUnderstanding and following outlined naming conventionsMaintaining and enforcing a strong pipelined workflow for asset building across the team whilst ensuring its continued evolutionPresenting models for progress review to leads supervisors and clientsEnsuring consistency of UV mappingCommunicating with other departments and production in order to ensure that the asset meets relevant requirementsMaking changes or updates to assets as requiredOngoing communication with production and leads regarding schedules and deadlinesStaying on schedule and meeting set deadlines while maintaining the highest levels of qualityProviding support to junior members of the CG team and assisting in their continued development of skills.Job requirementsExtensive working knowledge of Substance Painter and/or MariGood working knowledge of Maya and ZbrushCreative resourceful and with strong spatial awarenessAble to interpret and follow reference material to create clean highly detailed and accurate assetsEfficient with layout of UVs and awareness of texture requirementsStrong polygonal subdivision modelling skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAble to organise own workflow in a meticulous mannerAble to work well within a teamAdditional desirable skills:Creative conceptual sculptingKnowledge of anatomyKnowledge of other areas of the pipeline groom CFX lighting layoutKnowledge of Arnold/HoudiniTraditional art skillsPhotography experience for texture captureOn-siteLondon United KingdomAdvertising Episodic & ImmersiveYayThank you for your application We will be in touch with you as soon as we can.More jobs Key Skills Dhcp,Front Office Management,Information Technology Sales,Field Sales,ITI Employment Type : Contract Experience: years Vacancy: 1
