Lisa Eldridge Beauty is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Video Editor & Retoucher with a deep passion for Beauty and Makeup (essential). The ideal candidate must have substantial experience in beauty and makeup content and must live and breathe the beauty industry, with expertise in social media and retouching trends.


This role will primarily involve editing and retouching video content, with secondary responsibilities in capturing and retouching photographic content. You will work closely with our Videographer for editing support and the Senior Social Media Manager to ensure all content aligns with our brand’s vision.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Videographer: Assist our Videographer by editing and retouching video content for social media platforms, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Work with Senior Social Media Manager: Partner with the Senior Social Media Manager on all content, including video, photography, and graphic elements, to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and social media strategies.
  • Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos, focusing on cutting, trimming, and assembling clips to create a cohesive narrative.
  • Retouching: Apply advanced retouching techniques to both video and photographic content, ensuring color correction, visual refinement, and enhancement of beauty and makeup details.
  • Photography (ideal but not essential): Capture high-quality images using both professional cameras and iPhones for secondary projects, maintaining consistency with the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Optimise for Platforms: Adjust video and photo formats and styles to suit each social media platform’s requirements, ensuring optimal viewer engagement and experience.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing, retouching, and social media to keep content current and engaging.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure that all edited and retouched content is delivered on time and adheres to the brand’s quality standards.
  • In-Office Work: Work from our Central London office three times a week and be available for in-person collaboration or specific projects.


Skills and Requirements:


  • Proven Experience: 4+ years of experience as a video editor and retoucher with a focus on beauty and makeup brands. A strong portfolio demonstrating relevant editing, retouching, and photographic work is essential.
  • Passion for Beauty: Must live and breathe beauty and makeup, with a genuine enthusiasm for the industry that translates into your work. Understanding of beauty trends and a keen eye for detail are crucial.
  • Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of social media platforms and trends, with the ability to tailor video and photographic content for each platform.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. Proficient in retouching software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Experience with motion graphics and using iPhones for photography is a plus.
  • Grading and Retouching: Skilled in colour grading and advanced retouching for both video and photographic content to enhance overall quality.
  • Creative Eye: Strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail, with the ability to refine content to align with brand aesthetics and beauty trends.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with a team, incorporating feedback and ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Location: Ability to work from our Central London office three times a week.
