Position Overview
As a Security Consultant (Estimator – Technical Sales), you will play a pivotal role in our sales and estimation team. You will be responsible for preparing tenders and quotations by designing or interpreting specifications provided by M&E Consultants, working with architect’s drawings, or conducting surveys for security systems. The role demands a strong understanding of security systems, technical sales acumen, and the ability to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender and Quotation Preparation: Design or interpret specifications for security systems including Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, and Door Entry.
- Equipment Familiarity:
- Intruder Systems: Eaton Range, Pyronix, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, Mobile Apps
- CCTV: Hikvision IP/TVI, Pelco, DM, Adpro, Optex, RVR Solutions, IT Networking
- Access Control: ACT, Paxton
- Door Entry: BPT, Fermax, Videx (IP and Analogue)
- External Lighting: GJD
- GUI: Cortech
- Monitoring: RedCARE, DualCom, ARC/RVR, GSM/PSTN Diallers
- Sales and Client Management: Handle incoming enquiries and proactively generate new enquiries to meet sales targets.
- Presentations: Deliver presentations to customers either at our premises or at customer locations.
- Technical Competence: Capable of quoting for system takeovers and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with NSI standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven Sales Record: Demonstrated success in selling security systems
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with contract law, IT skills (WORD and EXCEL), and security standards
- Security Screening: Subject to security screening under BS: 7858, including DBS checks, credit reference checks, and other necessary screenings
