Role: FLT Operative

Location: Aggregate Industries Limited, Torr Quarry, Shepton Mallet, Somerset England, BA4 4SQ

Rate: £13.56 per hour

Contract length: Contractual, Initially for 6 months with possibilities for extension

Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

  • Operating the Forklift in the yard
  • Unloading pads
  • Majority of the workday will be spent outside
  • Physically demanding tasks including:
    • Banding products to pallets
    • Assisting with clean-ups
    • Loading stacks
    • Lifting items up to 25kg
    • Shovelling and cleaning up concrete

Essential requirements:

  • Counterbalance Forklift License (training can be provided)
  • Capable of other related tasks (refresher training available)
  • Experience in industrial environments
  • Note: In-house training should be avoided, though it can be supplied if necessary
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
  • Ability to follow risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Ability to work independently as well as supporting team members
