The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing and Heating will involve:

  1. Field sales position, selling a distributed range of mechanical pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage.
  2. Selling into plumbing and heating contractors, building services contractors, mechanical contractors, etc.
  3. Four days a week on the road, typically 12-16 qualified customer appointments per week.
  4. One day working from branch.
  5. Looking after accounts from £10,000 turnover to £500,000.
  6. Working in a team of four field sales professionals (£16.5m branch revenue responsibility).

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing and Heating with:

  1. Proven field sales track record selling into contractors.
  2. Open to all building product backgrounds, although specific knowledge of mechanical pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage may be useful.
  3. Mechanical, plumbing, and heating sector experience would be a bonus.
  4. Positive outlook.
  5. Ambitious, dynamic, and hard-working personality.
  6. Ability to build structured journey plans.
  7. Autonomous, driven self-starter, no leaflet droppers.
