About the Role As a Facilities Coordinator , you will ensure that Nottingham City Councils buildings and facilities operate smoothly and safely. You will be the primary point of contact for Facilities Management enquiries, handling day-to-day requests, recording minor faults, and resolving issues promptly. Key responsibilities include overseeing the post room, carrying out soft FM audits, monitoring compliance, liaising with technical officers, and completing weekly and monthly checks for legionella and fire alarms. You will maintain accurate records, ensure office equipment is functioning correctly, manage car parking facilities, and support staff with event setups. In addition, you will periodically assist the Fleet and Facilities Manager with project work, including archiving and fleet replacement projects. This varied role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. If you enjoy a mix of routine responsibilities and project involvement, and are committed to delivering high standards of service, this role is ideal for you. About You The ideal candidate will have: The ability to lift and carry heavy/bulky equipment. The ability to work without direct supervision by dealing with emergencies and difficult situations in a calm and effective manner. Evidence of working successfully in partnership across different sectors, building and maintaining good working relationships. The ability to effectively organise and prioritise own workload in an efficient and timely manner. Experience of effectively resolving customer care issues. The ability to be creative, to be able to identify problems and work to create solutions. Please note: The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident in driving a variety of vehicles, including cars, light goods vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes), Transit vans, and Luton vans.
