Senior Events Manager

The role: The Senior Events Manager assists the Head of Events in delivering all Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour events to the highest standard. This role involves collaborating across the Executive Office and Estate Management Office teams, third-party suppliers, and partners to deliver events on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing the administrative elements of event delivery – such as database management, invitations, RSVPs, scheduling, and cost management for the creative consultant. The role also requires liaising with the showrooms, coordinating event meetings, and ensuring event iterations align with the business’s objectives.

Creativity lies at the core of the industry that we are at the heart of and is of paramount importance in how we present to the world through our cross-platform communications and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting event research and reporting findings
- Fostering good relationships with existing and potential suppliers
- Managing the creative consultant and their team, including their budget
- Managing internal and agency overtime
- Database management to ensure internal lists are up to date
- Managing the distribution of printed and digital invitations for all DCCH events
- Coordinating the smooth running of all events
- Attending meetings with internal and external suppliers – keeping records and actioning progress
- Cost management and reporting to the Head of Events / General Manager & Head of Marketing during maternity cover
- Creating event itineraries and schedules
- Attending all events and overseeing the installation and de-rig of all events. Being onsite for early mornings, evenings, and weekends for event setup and de-rig when the role demands
- Deputising for the Head of Events during maternity cover
- Organising the commercial sponsorship deliverables
- Managing event hire with external agencies
Skills and Attributes:
- A very hands-on attitude to organising and delivering events
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a creative eye for detail
- Confident team player and able to work independently
- Clear communicator with strong verbal and written skills
- Able to manage multiple live projects at once
- Eagerness to learn and contribute
- Database management
- An interest and knowledge of interiors is beneficial
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in event planning and management.
